The Sg Perdik camping site is located nearby Batu 18 in Hulu Langat. You can access Hulu Langat via highway heading towards Cheras/ Semenyih / Kajang. At the end of the tarmac road, proceed further and follow the gravel road to the jungle trail along the stream that will lead you to Sungai perdik Waterfall.

In some areas, the water crossing may be of knee deep

The termites infesting the base of the bamboo trees.
The secluded Sg Perdik waterfall is in a little-known area of Hulu Langat that is still less frequented by tourist and is just the ideal location to expose the postgraduate students to the impressive wilderness experience. Yet the site is quickly and easily assessable even for large and less fit groups. A short river hike of 15-20 minutes gets the participants to the spectacular 30 meter high waterfall.

The sense of accomplishment upon reaching the waterfall
A relief on everyone's face after scaling up the steep hill trail

While some would rather be resting under the bamboo shades
The chirping of birds and the shrieks of the cicadas is a music of a kind
By 1.00pm, everyone is ready to descend back to the base campsite.
The downhill descend is more easy and quicker.
Now, more smiles can be seen on everyone's faces
Still, it is vital to ensure to have a firm footing on the slippery slopes.
There is more talking and smiling now, than of during the ascend earlier
The last leg of the trail before reaching the base camp at the foot of the hill.
Again, this half day trip has achieved its objective of exposing to the postgrads about loving nature and conservation, as well as cultivating a strong bonding amongst each other as a member of the postgraduate team.
A heafty lunchpack awaits to passify the now growling stomach.
